System Requirements 

(Minimum unless otherwise specified):  

You will need:

·     Pentium 166 or better

·    At least Windows 95 with Internet Explorer 4.0  

.  Windows XP works, as does Internet Explorer 6.0

·     Minimum of 32 MB memory (RAM)

·     4x CD-ROM drive

·     At least 610 MB of free hard disk space

·     High Color (16 bit) display with Small Fonts setting

·     Windows-compatible 16-bit sound card

·     Windows-compatible mouse

Note: if your PC is less than four years old it is almost certain that TLC will work with your system.

With Windows XP there are few problems. With older systems most problems result from improper settings. It is important that you have your display set for "small fonts" which is a Windows option; this is explained in the installation instructions.

(It is found under DISPLAY / Properties / Settings / ADVANCED in Windows 2000 and Windows 98. In Windows 95 it is on the Display/ Properties / Settings window. Once you have set to Small Fonts, you must APPLY the setting; it's easy to forget to do that.)

We have found that Sound Blaster and later 16-bit sound cards are more than adequate for this program. Generally any sound card less than 6 years old will work just fine. The Intel integrated sound with Intel motherboards works well, and the program works with AMD Athlon systems..

The program works well with bad speakers, but of course the better the speakers the better the recorded human voice messages will sound.
